Toddler Program/Los Pequeños (Ages 18 months to 36 months)
“It is after this that the child, who can now walk and feels confident of his strength, begins to notice the actions of those about him, and tries to do the same things. In this period he imitates not because someone has told him to do so, but because of a deep inner need which he feels.” (Maria Montessori, The Absorbent Mind)
The Academia Montessori Toddler program is designed to help children between the ages of 18 months to 36 months achieve their full potential in terms of communication, independence, physical movement, problem-solving ability, and social interactions. Through active, self-paced learning that engages all five senses, children are introduced to the five areas of the Montessori Curriculum, including Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language and Culture. With repetition and practice, children develop competence and confidence in these areas, setting a strong foundation for future learning.
